Kinoguitan, Misamis Oriental — Two houses were razed and totally destroyed by fire yesterday mornng at Highway Purok 2, Barangay Panabol, here.
The Kinoguitan Fire Department immediately responded after recieving a call at 9:57 am.
“Wala na namo matabang ang kalayo grabe na ang pag ulbo,” FO2 Adonis Sususco, fire investigator, said.
The fire lasted for about 20 minutes from 9:45 am, witnesses said.
Initial investigation shows that the fire started at the unattended house owned by an elderly couple Rogelio and Antonina Llesis.
The couple left the house at around 6 am to pay their monthly obligation to Ficco located at nearby town of Balingoan.
“Ugdaw na among balay sa among pag uli ug hurot tanan among sinina ug mga kabtangan,” Antonina Llesis said.
Mayor Danilo Lagbas Jr immediately ordered the release of funds to give to the fire victims.
The other house that was destroyed by the fire was owned by couple Camelo and Leona Llesis.
Sususco pegged the damage of the conflagration at P400 thousand.
