MISAMIS Oriental board member Mario Emano was ailing and had been going in and out of the hospital before he died at the Capitol University Medical City at 10:46 am on Monday morning. He was 62.
Provincial board member Geraldo Sabal said Emano had been confined at the CUMC for four days before he died of a heart ailment and complications.
“Sigi naman pud ga balik-balik si board member Emano sa hospital sa wala pa siya mamatay,” Sabal said.
Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano said he was deeply saddened over the loss of the elder Emano, his uncle.
The late official was once president of the province’s Liga ng mga Barangay. In the 2016 elections, he won a regular seat in the provincial board, representing the 2nd district of Misamis Oriental.
Emano was born on March 23,1955 in Tagoloan town. His remains were brought to his home Poblacion, Tagoloan. At presstime, interment has yet to be announced. (edwin iyo)
