Cagayan de Oro Rep. Maximo Rodriguez Jr. (2nd District) has yet to make up his mind on the question of whether or not to extend the Mindanao martial law throughout 2018.

Over radio station DxCC, Rodriguez said his vote would depend on the public pulse in the city.

Rodriguez said he also wants to hear the explanation of the Armed Forces for its recommendation to extend martial law in Mindanao by one year.

He said Cagayanons should be asked if they want martial law to be extended by one year in Mindanao.

On local radio, he suggested a survey to determine the pulse of public in the city so that he would have a point of reference.

But when he was asked how the survey can be done when Congress is expected to tackle the request of President Duterte this week before the lawmakers go on recess, Rodriguez replied:  “I’m not recommending a survey.” (ben balce)
