Senior Insp. Esmeraldo Labi, Lumbia police chief, said the 26-year old suspect, Airman 2nd class Reymart Noguera, claimed that he had no intention of shooting S/Sgt. Renante Blanco.

Blanco’s wife filed a murder complaint against Noguera before the City Prosecutor’s Office yesterday afternoon.

Blanco’s wife came over from Angeles City and submitted an affidavit against Noguera through the Air Force.

Labi said the 26-year old airman told investigators that Blanco bullied him, the reason why he fired his rifle in the hope of scaring the Air Force sergeant.

“Wala gani kuno siya masayod nga na-igo ba diay ang biktima. Ang iyang pagpabuto sa iyang pusil kanang tinalawan ba, dili gyud tumong sa bikitma,” Labi said.

Blanco was hit by a bullet at the back of his head. The two allegedly argued during a drinking binge inside the headquarters.
