THE capitol would reward its employees with P10 thousand each this week as its way of acknowledging their contribution to efforts that resulted in the provincial government bagging the much coveted  “Seal of Good Local Governance” award from the Department of Interior and Local Government this year.

Misamis Oriental Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano made the announcement during the capitol’s Christmas party on Friday night to the delight of the provincial government’s regular and casual employees.

The reward is also referred to as the Productivity Enhancement Incentive.

This year’s Seal of Good Local Governance is the second for the capitol since 2015.

Carol Lim, assistant provincial administrator, said the capitol’s initial plan was to give a P5-thousand incentive to each employee but Emano had a change of mind after the provincial government received the “Seal” from the DILG.

Lim said Emano recognized the efforts, contribution and cooperation of the capitol employees and so, he decided to double the reward to make the workers happier this Christmas. (pio)
