Quimanhan said the three victims were riding a black motorcycle with neither a license plate nor registration papers. Its driver, Estrada, had no driving license, he said.

Estrada, Angelo and Phoebe were rushed to the JR Borja Hospital after the speeding motorcycle hit the rear of jeepney, an “NHA liner,” at the intersection of Velez and Yacapin streets at around 5:45 am.

City hall rescuers immediately responded, gave the victims first-aid treatment before rushing them to the hospital.

They were however slowed down because of the woman’s injuries. Of the three victims, it was Phoebe who was the most badly hurt, and rescuers were careful in handling her. (Nitz Arancon)
