Chief Insp. Evary Bacunawa, Opol police chief, identified the suspect as 19-year-old  Marvy Bisahan who hails from Kapitan 1, Lantapan, Bukidnon.

Bisahan served as a helper of the boy’s family for four months at Poblacion, Opol, Misamis Oriental.

The alleged abuse was uncovered when the boy saw his father naked in a room. The father was fresh from the shower and dressing up.

Bacunawa said the boy, seeing his father’s privates, then said, “Ang akoa gihilabtan ni uncle (Bisahan).”

Police said the boy’s father immediately reported the alleged abuse to the police, and officers subsequently arrested the suspect.

During investigation, Bisahan had confessed to the crime but subsequently changed his story, according to the police. Now, he denies molesting the boy.

Bacunawa said a complaint has been filed against Bisahan before the local prosecutor’s office.

Bisahan was brought to the provincial jail where he would be under detention until his case has been resolved.
