Maigo Mayor Rafael Rizalda is campaigning for “yes” in the BOL plebiscite in January next year. He said the people of the municipalities of Tagoloan, Baloi, Pantar, Munai, Tangkal, and Nonungan have expressed in two past plebiscites their determination to join the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

He said he respects the people of the municipalities’ right to self-determination and that they should be supported.

He added that many lives and properties were lost in the struggle of the Moros to self-determination. So, now that a peace formula has been reached it deserves the full support of all the people.

In another development, 1st District of Lanao del Norte Rep. Mohammad Khalid Q. Dimporo is campaigning for “no”  in the forthcoming plebiscite.

Big Billboards showing the congressman’s picture are displaced all over the province where he stated that he is opposed to the division of the province and the inclusion of the six municipalities into the Bangsamoro Region.

He said that he believes that good governance is the key to peace.
