Municipal Administrator-designate Jessie Dela Cruz, said the first phase of the  projects pegged at P25.2 million will be overseen by a designated monitoring and technical team from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office.

But he said the technical team will leave to the beneficiaries to decide the kind of project that will be established based on the identification and request by the barangay and tribal leaders representing the recipient barangays.

Pamana is a national government convergence program under the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (Opapp) that assists isolated, hard-toeach and battle-affected communities, improve their quality of life “with the assurance that none of them will be left behind.”

Monard Galgo, Malu-ngon’s Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative to the Sangguniang Bayan lauded the upcoming pro-jects, which he said have brought admiration from both the barangay and tribal leaders.

According to him, they consider the national-funded projects under the Duterte’s administration a great boost in support of the battlecry for change and growth, especially in the countryside.

Among the Opapp-Pamana funded projects are livelihood, cattle dispersal, road opening, street lights installation in Brgy. Poblacion; solar dryer, Kasfala hall, and the construction of multi-purpose buildings that will be distributed in all component barangays.

These “composes the first budget transmittal, with hopes that this will be sufficed with more in the upcoming downloading of the second and third project-support funds,” Galgo said. (malungon information office)
