THE Cagayan de Oro Water District, and Rio Verde Water Consortium Inc. yesterday failed to reach a settlement in connection with the case for the nullification of their controversial decade-old bulk water supply contract, a lawyer disclosed yesterday.
Judge Emmanuel Pasal of the 38th branch of the Regional Trial Court terminated the judicial dispute resolution during yesterday’s hearing of the case filed by COWD, according to lawyer James Judith.
Pasal also decided to proceed with the pre-trial of the case.
Judith is the lawyer of three councilors who asked the regional court to recognize the officials to become a party in the case they being representatives of the city’s water consumers. (nitz arancon)
