COUNCILOR Suzette Daba, the chairperson of Task Force Coliform, has called on the different sectors in the city to join the ocular inspection of the sanitary landfill in Barangay Pagalungan next week.
Daba said the ocular inspection would form part of the task force’s investigation to determine whether or not the city dump is the main culprit in the alleged pollution of Iponan River.
Earlier, the city council chose Daba to head the task force and to submit reports on the claims of the officials in San Simon that the sanitary landfill has polluted the river.
The city council has also tasked Daba to submit her recommendations.
“Wala hino-on kitay time frame kanus-a nato humanon ang atong investigation, pero atong paningkamotan nga mahuman maka-submit kita ug reports and recommendation sa city council before sa yearend,” said Daba. (nitz arancon)
