NARCOTICS agents arrested a suspected drug dealer, listed as No. 2 in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s list in the city, during a buy-and-bust operation in Macabalan on Friday.
PDEA-10’s Misamis Oriental Special Enforcement Team arrested Wennie Tampos Nacalaban, 35, of Sitio Parola, Barangay Macabalan, this city.
PDEA regional director Wilkins Villanueva alleged that the arresting team was able to buy suspected shabu from Nacalaban.
Villanueva said PDEA seized approximately P6,800 worth of suspected shabu during the operation.
He alleged that the suspected shabu were in four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, weighing more or less a gram.
Villanueva said authorities also seized a P500 bill that was used as “marked money.”
He said the suspect was detained at PDEA-10, and a case for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing today. (Lito Rulona)
