Pelaez to serve as OIC governor

Vice Governor Jose Marie Pelaez has been appointed as Officer-in-Charge Governor of Misamis Oriental.

According to Capitol spokesperson Nicole Managbanag, Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano is currently abroad for an educational and business tour to help boost tourism in the province.

Managbanag, however, did not mention what country Emano is going to.

Wala man sya atong Monday, holiday (Tuesday), so ugma pa sya mag serve as an Officer-in-charge Governor,” said Managbanag.

Pelaez has been appointed through a memorandum order GYVBE No. 2018-0476.

Emano filed for a leave of absence over the weekend and will be gone until May 5.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan will be presided over either by Board Member Jeremy Jigjag or Board Member Vincent Pelaez.
