Provincial jail warden Dominador Tagarda said inmate Jonathan Ramos of Mambatangan, Manolo  Fortich town in Bukidon, managed to flee after he was allowed to go out of the capitolun prison facility to dispose garbage.

Facing administrative sanctions are jail guards  Rodel  Asiñero and Josias Dahuya. They were directed to submit their written explanation within 72 hours.

Why an inmate was made to throw garbage outside the prison remains unclear but Tagarda said that Ramos was a “trustee.” It also remained unclear if allowing trustees out has become a practice in the provincial jail.

Tagarda said Ramos, who was under detention for eight months becase of a drug case, escaped at around 8:15 am on Thursday.

The escapee, he said, fled with his common law wife identified as Mary Jean Mirasol.

“Mi-eskapo to si Ramos kay nagselos man to siya, kay daghan man pud  tigpanambo nga mga lalaki adtong iyang live-in partner nga si Mary Jean,” Tagarda said.

He said he has asked the help of the provincial police to re-capture Ramos.

“Bartolinahon to namo siya… isip silot sa iyang pag-ikyas kay imbis trustee namo siya mi-ikyas man no-on,” Tagarda said.

He said the written explanation of the two jail guards would be submitted by him to Gov. Yevgeny Vincente Emano.

“Si Gov. Emano na dayon ang bahala kay ipa-agi man sa proseso  ang administrative sanction sa atong duha ka jail guard,” he said.
