ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat—CENRO personnel along with some PNP members under the provincial command have apprehended a truck loaded with natural grown wood species last May 30, 2015 at Barangay Titulok, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat.

Cenro Dalauta said the apprehension of the truck loaded with illegally cut wood lumber

happened due to the support of concern citizens who happened to be assets of Governor Teng Mangudadatu tasked to help monitor illegal logging activities in the hinterland areas of the province.

Dalauta said responding to report, a team was then formed and went to the area where illegal logging activity happened.

He added that on their way to the area a blue color dropside truck with plate number GLZ- 829 was sighted carrying the illegal cut wood lumber of natural grown trees.

Investigation revealed the truck was loaded of assorted sizes of wood species around 960.30 board feet.

Authorities identified the truck driver as certain Jimmy Altura y Forro, of legal age, married, and a resident of Purok Macapagal, Poblacion, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat.

The truck and the illegally cut lumbers were temporarily impounded at the PNP headquarters in Camp Amando Dumlao, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

Mr Arsenio dela Cruz, of Cenro Tacurong City said proceeding of the said case was set on June 09, 2015 at their office in Bo. 2, Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.

Governor Teng Mangudadatu also said

‘Hinding-hindi ko mapapalampas ang mga illegal na tulad ng pagpuputol ng kahoy, kasabay ng aking seryosong pagpapatupad ng mga batas sa ilalim ng nasabing mga usapin. Maari akong tumulong sa mga nahuhuling lisensiya ng mga nagma-maneho at nagha-hanapbuhay ng maayos kaysa sa tumulong sa may gawaing ayaw na ayaw ko’.
