MATTHEW Valleser, Chief of Staff to Misamis Oriental 2nd District Rep. Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano, expressed optimism on Wednesday about the transformative projects that are poised to elevate the province.

The significant advancements in infrastructure development took center stage during the Cagayan de Oro Press Club’s (COPC) meet the press event at SM Downtown Premiere on April 17, 2024.

The press event, organized by the COPC, became a platform for discussing the heightened enthusiasm surrounding the areas’ infrastructure progress. Valleser took the stage to shed light on the comprehensive plans that Rep. Emano has charted out for Misamis Oriental.

Rep. Emano’s road widening proposals were at the heart of the conference, showcasing his commitment to improving connectivity and enhancing the quality of life for his constituents.

These initiatives, according to Vallecer rooted in a vision for a more accessible Misamis Oriental, highlighted the congressman’s dedication to regional development.

The urgency of expanding the Laguindingan Airport’s capacity for international flights was a key issue addressed by Valleser.

This step is seen as pivotal in achieving Emano’s goal of positioning Misamis Oriental as a significant player on the global economic stage.

The proposed expansion would not only benefit tourism but also boost local business and trade.

The ongoing road development projects throughout Misamis Oriental were also underscored as a priority.

Productive discussions were held to pinpoint the challenges and set clear priorities for each barangay involved. The emphasis was on ensuring that these projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Chief Valleser articulated Rep. Emano’s unwavering pledge to progress, calling for unity and collaborative efforts to bring these ambitious projects to fruition.

It is clear that Emano envisions a legacy that will continue to carve paths towards prosperity for the people of Misamis Oriental.

During the “Meet the Press” segment, Valleser delved into the specifics of Rep. Emano’s plans, focusing on road widening as a current priority.

He outlined the financial landscape of the projects, revealing a budget of 9 billion pesos, with 2 billion currently available.

Valleser conveyed Emano’s determination to make the roads from Villanueva to Gingoog passable within his potential next terms, even if not fully cemented.

Also the Chief of Staff highlighted Emano’s legislative achievements, including the recent passage of a law to institutionalize the salt industry, a move set to bolster local enterprise and sustainability.

Valleser even touched upon the development of the super health center in Villanueva, a project initiated by former Rep. Julliete Uy and continued under Emano’s guidance.

The facility, designed as a third-level hospital capable of major operations, is being pushed by Rep. Emano to initially open as an infirmary. Such a step would alleviate the pressure on the main hospitals by catering to those with minor illnesses or conditions like severe coughs.

The press conference concluded on a note of anticipation and readiness. With Rep. Emano at the helm, the constituents of Misamis Oriental can look forward to a future where infrastructure development is not just a promise but a tangible reality shaping their lives for the better.
