EVEN lawyers who had nothing to do with the trial of pedophile Peter Gerard Scully and his former partner Carme Ann Alvarez were horrified as they sat in the courtroom, listening to what the man from Melbourne did to children here.

The horrible details were things lawyer Dale Bryan Mordeno never heard in a courtroom before.

Mordeno said the accounts of how the Australian tortured and sodomized his young victims were so gross.

He said he was in the courtroom of regional Judge Jose Escobido, waiting for a case he was handling to be heard. He and other lawyers who were not parties to the Scully case listened.

“Kami nga na-ay mga kaso sa sala ni Judge Escobido, unya madungan ang schedule sa among kaso sa husay sa kaso ni Scully. Na maghulat-hulat gyud mi kay priority man tong iya ni Scully,” he said.

Regional State Prosecutor Merlynn Uy told a news conference the details of the Scully case were unthinkable and so offensive.

“I cannot describe but grabi gyud,” said Uy.

Uy hailed the court’s decision to find Scully and Alvarez guilty, saying the verdict was based purely on the merits of the case.

“The decision was very thorough, and the bases of the decision was  mainly on the personal  testimony of the victims on court. They were very credible, consistent and very believable. The details, dili nimo ma-imagine,” she said.

Uy said the children who testified were very credible that she quoted Judge Escobido as stating, “You cannot imagine that the child of a tender age could talk or could invent, such specific circumstances.”

She said the next batch of cases against Scully would should that the Australian did worse things compared to the human trafficking and five counts of rape he was convicted of on Wednesday.

Uy said the Scully case has caught the interest not only of Australian authorities but also by other countries around the world.

The pedophile, who fled Australia in 2011 because he was wanted for fraud there, was the subject of a global manhunt because of the snuff videos of the children he abused which he sold online. He was caught in Malaybalay, Bukidnon in early 2015.

The youngest victim was only 18 months old whom he tortured on video. Called “Daisy’s Destruction,” the grotesque video features unimaginables scenes of horror as the child was tortured and raped. It was reportedly on pedophile sites where users paid up to US$10 thousand to stream Scully’s videos.
