The complete slate of the administration party for the 17 municipalities and two cities of Surigao del Sur––all incumbents––filed their respective CoCs early Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, their party counterparts in Surigao del Norte, headed by re-electionalist Gov. Sol Matugas who just received LP’s Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance (Cona), would file their CoCs en masse, today.

Here, the LP bets for this city––led by re-electionist Mayor Ferdinand Amante Jr.––filed their CoCs, yesterday.

No candidates from other political parties so far have filed on the first day of filing at the Comelec office here except for independent candidate Raul Amoc who is gunning for his erstwhile post as this city’s councilor.

In a phone interview, Palanan told the Gold Star Daily the first to file CoC was Mariano Atacador Sr. who is running for Surigao del Sur’s Sanggunian under the administration party at exactly 8:40 am on Monday.

Minutes after, LP candidate for provincial board Henry Pimentel filed his CoC followed by another LP bet for provincial board Teresita Donasco at 9:30 am.
