VALENCIA City, Bukidnon– Mayor   Azucena P. Huervas has meet the print and broadcast media practitioners’ in the province during her  monthly activity scheduled last August 3, 2015.

The chief executive’s meeting with the press was geared to discuss matters pertaining her administration and to possibly solicit feedback mechanism on the projects implemented in the city.

During the meeting, the mayor also introduced   new police officer-in- charge of Valencia City.

PSupt.  Al  Martinez Abanales  even called the media partners to support the PNP’s campaign in crime prevention for the peace and order  in the city.

In his  message,  acting chief of Police calls to intensify PNP’s campaign in community participation and involvement, and to work hand in hand as this will contribute to crime prevention.

During the press conference, Ms. Marnelle Verano- Panes, the Super Flyweight Champion of the world who hails from Purok 9, San Carlos, Valencia City was introduced to the press.

Mayor Huervas beamed with pride and joy as she refers Marnelle Verano Panes as the pride of Valencia City.  Panis  will be presented  on the September convocation of the city government as she will be introduced during the Civil Service Month Celebration to spark inspiration among employees.

The city mayor will be giving her a cash prize as a token of appreciation for bringing fame and glory to Valencia City.  Verano-Panes came from a family of sports enthusiasts. Her brother, Jake Verano is also an internationallyenowned boxer, and currently he is a trainer in Hong Kong. Marnelle or Day-day as fondly called by her family and friends will be competing on January 2016 in Macau as she still cannot defend her title on November 2015 since she is recuperating from an injury during her recent bout in Australia.

Marnelle, as a young mother and wife is balancing her time with her family while pursuing her dreams of getting the limelight in the world of boxing.
