Militante has expressed concerned for their health of the people residing near the power plant which have filed a complaint on alleged pollution.

Dili nalang ta maghisgot about pollutions kay naa man gyud na labi na dagkong planta sama sa Balingasag Power Station nga gipanag iyahan sa MPC,” said Militante.

He added that Minergy should give a reasonable compensation for the residents so they could relocate to a better area.

For his part, Provincial Board Member Geraldo Sabal has called the attention of Minergy to facilitate the transfer of the people residing near the power plant.

Dili man sab mahimo nga magpabilin ang mga tawo diha ug diha padayon manimuyo nga dili safety ilang pang lawas,” Sabal explained.

Militante said Minergy should follow what the Steag Coal Power Plant did in Villanueva years back.

Na plastar ang mga tawo nagpuyo sa maong lugar ayha gitukod ang Steag,” he said.

Sitio Botoc residents are willing to sell their lots where they are resided to Minergy and to vacate anytime if the deal will be struck said Jonathan Libago a resident of Brgy Mandangoa in Balingasag.
