The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has scheduled a power interruption affecting a greater portion of the franchise areas of Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company (Cepalco) including some towns of Misamis Oriental from 4:30 am to 7:30 am tomorrow.

The affected areas in Cagayan de Oro are barangays Iponan, Bulua, Patag, Kauswagan, Bonbon, Bayabas, Consolacion, Puntod, Macabalan, Nazareth, Lapasan, Gusa, Cugman, Indahag, Tablon, Agusan, Puerto, Balubal, Bugo, and all of the towns of Tagoloan, Villanueva, and Jasaan, affecting the former for the duration of three hours.

The other affected areas are 138kV Customer (Phil. Sinter Corp.); M2 69kV Customers (Resins, Inc., Jasaan; Cargill Philippines Inc., Villanueva; Coca-Cola Misamis Oriental Plant, Villanueva; HCH corporation, Tagoloan; Del Monte Philippines, Inc, Bugo; Nestlé Philippines, Inc., Tablon; Lim Ket Kai Mill, Puntod will experience power interruption from 5:00 am to 6:45 am.

Ceplaco will also conduct hotspot correction works at NGCP Jasaan Substation and line works in Tablon, the statement reads.

The reason of the power interruption is that NGCP will facilitate load transfer of 69kV feeders from transformer no. 2 to transformer no. 1 due to the abnormal rise or dip of the On-Load-Tap-Changer oil level of Power Transformer no. 2 at NGCP-Jasaan Substation.
