Recipients of the 2017 Steag Power Students Award attend a seminar on True Love Waits sponsored by energy-firm STEAG State Power Inc. (SPI). The seminar emphasized that young students are in their season of preparation and must therefore focus on the important tasks at hand such as excelling in studies, acquiring skills, and strengthening moral values. The participants were also encouraged to be in charge of their feelings and warned about the perils of uncontrolled emotions. The seminar is part of SPI’s continuing intervention to help young students succeed in their studies. For this school year, the Power Students Award will provide educational assistance to about 246 honor students in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental.
