After considering location, developer reputation, and facilities and amenities, investors will then come to the wise decision of investing in a condominium. The next logical step is to choose the type of condo unit. But what type of unit would post the most benefits as an investment?

From studios to units with one, two, or three-bedroom, the choices are plenty. While it is completely fine to choose any condo unit that suits the investor’s taste, most of them will find that two-bedroom units attract a wider spectrum of potential tenants. It’s a given that the more bedrooms there are, the greater the variety of potential tenants. Below are the advantages of choosing a two-bedroom condo unit.  A two-bedroom condo will have a bigger space over a singleoom unit or a studio. Whether the tenant is single, a newlywed couple, or those with a young child or two, a two bedroom fits their needs quite well.

The extra room comes in handy as singles can use it as a home office or a study. That means no dumping of work documents on the bed or the dresser. For couples, that means no annoying the spouse with a lamp still turned on while working way past bedtime. Those who want to stick to their exercise regimen will favor having a second bedroom that they can use as an exercise room. Here they they do their exercise routines in silence and privacy, without distraction and interruption.

The spare bedroom also become a repository for their exercise equipment such as dumbbells or a yoga mat, eliminating clutter in the bedroom or the living area. A second bedroom can also be used as a storage area where they can temporarily park those boxes of documents they’ve been meaning to sort out, or those containers of knick-knacks they intend to pore over to choose which ones to keep and to give away. For those whose two-bedroom condo unit is still a work in progress, they can use the spare bedroom to store furniture and other items until they have finally decided their rightful place in the condo unit. Keeping these items out of sight until then will keep the main bedroom, living and kitchen area free from clutter.

Young couples can prepare ahead for kids by keeping the extra room available for when they have children. They can even slowly decorate the other room until it is completely ready for a new baby and all those soft and adorable baby stuff. If the tenant is single and has no apparent use for a second bedroom, he or she can find a roommate to split the rent with, making it lighter on the primary renter’s pocket. Having another person to share the condo unit with also makes for a more fun and interesting living condition. A two-bedroom condo unit has more potential uses and is therefore more attractive to potential tenants. It makes it easier for the owner-investor to rent it out and get a steady stream of rental income.

While a two-bedroom condo unit will be a little more expensive to acquire than a studio or a singleoom unit, the wise owner-investors know that it will also yield a bigger capital gain should they decide to sell it in the future. Clearly, two-bedroom condo units are better investments because they have more flexibility.
