A YOUNG man posted this message on his Facebook wall: “Ayha pa unya ninyo makita akong halaga kung wala nako.” Shortly after, he was found hanging with a rope tied around his neck inside his father’s room.
The suicide, 21-year-old Mach Ravin Goldin, was found dead at Zone 2, Manticao Drive, Barangay Canitoan, this city, yesterday morning.
His partner said Goldin was crying in bed the night before because he resented that his mother, a worker in Hongkong, did not give him money.
“Miingon siya nako nga nagmahay daw siya sa iyang mama kay kung lain ang mangayo tagaan niya pero kung siya dili,” she said.
She said Goldin was no longer in bed when she woke up, and she subsequently found him dead in his father’s room.
Goldin was rushed to the JR Borja Memorial General Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
The suicide’s father Reynaldo said his son hanged himself at around 8 am. “Gihatud pa gani ko niya sa akong trabahoan sakay sa iyang motor anang maong buntag. Wala man gyuy timailhan nga himoon to niya. Gitagaan ko pa siyag P100 para iyang gastogastohon.”
