BUTUAN City — In just one day, four drug personalities were killed in four different shooting incidents across Caraga Region. The recent ‘vigilante-type’ of killings bring the list to 13 persons.
On Monday, police reports from different police stations in the region show that all four drug suspects were killed the same way, motorcycleiding gunmen.
In San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, police found dead one Ryan Ybañez, 24, married and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Mangagoy, Bislig City, Surigao del Sur. Police said Ybañez was lying in a pool of his own blod along a road in Purok 3, Barangay Dat-agan, San Francisco. The police report estimated the time of the incident at about 12 noon on Monday.
At around 2 pm of the same day, authorities responded to a shooting incident in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur. Police identified the fatality as Ronald Mabasle, 34, married, and works as a passenger motorcycle driver. Mabasle, who lives in Purok 10, Tabon-tabon, Sibagat town, was shot dead by gunmen riding in tandem. Police also identified Mabasle as one of the drug personalities who voluntarily responded to Oplan Tokhang.
Santiago town police reported that drug suspect Jejenito Sayson, 30, single, was shot dead by gunmen riding a motorcycle near his home in Poblacion 2, Santiago town in Agusan del Norte also on Monday at around 4:20 pm.
The fourth fatality on Monday was drug suspect Dominador Poles, Jr., 30, alias Junjun, and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Bangonay, Jabonga town in Agusan del Norte.
Jabonga police found Poles already dead in Poblacion Jabonga at about 6 pm.
Police Regional Office 13, based here in the city, said they are still investigating the four summary executions.
