MY attention was called by a friend about an error in my column on Monday. “When the light finally turned red, the Fortuner sped off…,” I wrote. It should have been “when the light finally turned green…” Thank you, Siote, and my apologies to the owner of the Fortuner. It was an honest mistake common among seniors.

Jessie Co invited me to go with him to Balubal. The P500-thousand renovation of the dining room, kitchen and toilets of the Mother Teresa Foundation for street children is almost finished. They should be done by the end of this month and will be up for blessing on the third week of September.

But this time, it was not about the renovation. For lack of supplies and food, Jessie donated P10 thousand worth of food, medicine, children clothing and others to the foundation.

Jessie asked me to bring a “White Crow” streamer for picture taking, a gesture of support to the advocacy for honest governance. Thank you, Jessie for your kindness.

In a rush to meet the appointment, the tarpaulin was hurriedly done not noticing the errors in it. What’s done is done.

This actually sent on Aug. 12, 2015. I suspect this concern was already brought to the attention of Mayor Max Seno. Perhaps, no action was taken yet by the office of the municipal mayor that prompted this concerned citizen to seek the assistance of the media. I am just of one the media people who received this message.

It could also be that the Internet café owners have connections with the powers-that-be, hence, this gross violation of the ordinance.

The sender should categorically tell us that he/she already informed the authorities about this concern––the mayor, the police or any person in authority.

The Mulawan case has been forgotten. Who was behind Emmanuel Mulawan? Who took advantage of or used him? Where is he now?

For quite a while, nothing is heard of him. Is he still getting some support from those who gained limelight at his expense? Or, is he now left to fend for himself?

Soon, we hope to gain some insights into what really happened to him. The last time we saw him was when our small group volunteered to spend Christmas with him and have lunch with him at the City Hospital.

Mulawan, though thankful of our gesture, seemed to be withholding something from us. But we had no choice but to respect his mind.
