Thus said Chief Investigator Jovane Cabusas, spokesman of the Philippine National Police here. With the police to take care of security concerns for the event are force multipliers even as there are 4 K-9 dogs and police augmentation force from Camp Alagar.

On Sept. 20, the ritual will be made in which the statue of St. Michael is taken from his perch in the altar and then a procession will be made around the city with the throngs of believers joining. This is after his apparel has been changed.

Cabusas said that with the present incidents, one cannot take security for granted. There are security men on guard in every corner, Cabusas added and urged the city to bear with them, especially in inspections upon entering the city which would take longer than usual because of the thoroughness of the inspections. He also reiterated that at the fiesta park at Tibanga, backpacks, and hats are prohibited.
