Ramos’ place was only for merchandising.

The previous market near the said place was demolished with the vendors told to do their selling at the temporary market at Barangay Tambo where the city’s bus and jeepney terminal is located.

The padlocking was done by Anti-littering Task Force, and “Hapsay Dalan” led by Leony Roy Ga.

Earlier, City information officer Jose Pantoja said that Ramos has warned to stop making a market of his place as this is “against the law.”

Said trader was then ordered to close his place in late July of this year.

Ramos then and 19 others trooped to Police Station 5 at Poblacion, this city under its Commander,   Sr. Inspector Alan Abalde to have the city’s action and placed in a police blotter preparatory to filing legal action.

Ramos said that the persons who did the padlocking also took with them the goods that were reportedly sold there like fishes, fruits, etc.

Ramos said that he had filed the necessary permit for his business and was given the necessary permit too.
