Maj. EvaryBacunawa, Opol police chief, said Alfeche yielded to the police who went to his boarding house in Barangay Bulua after he was identified through a CCTV footage as the victim’s companion when she checked in as a guest in the pension house on Thursday night.

Alfeche, who reportedly works for a Do-It-Yourself household hardware store in Bulua, admitted that he checked in with the 28-year-old woman whom he claimed to have paid for sexual services.

The suspect said they fought inside Room 46 of the pension house because she demanded an additional P5 thousand when he already paid P1,500 through procurer in the Divisoria area.

“Sa dihang mo rebansin na unta ko mipalag na siya kay mangayo siya’g P5,000,” Alfeche said.

He said he panicked after the woman threatened to cry for help and report him to the police unless he paid her more.

Alfeche said he tied both her hands and feet and pushed her face against the bed so she would not follow him. He said the woman was still breathing when he left the pension house and that he had no intention of killing her.

He said he was sure that the mother of three was alive when he left. “Kon gipatay pa nako to siya, misibat na unta ko.”

Alfeche added: “Ako siya nga gigapos aron dili sila maka sunod saako pag-gawas nako sa kuwarto. Nag-ginhawa pa man to siya, ingon pa gani siya nga dili na siya mosinggit.”

Alfeche said he regretted paying for sex, and that he wished he just played with himself. “Wala na unta koy problima karon.”

The victim had lived with a partner and is survived by her three children. Alfeche, meanwhile, had lived with a partner until they parted ways two weeks ago.
