CDO Toy Show 2019 launches today

Reminisce on your childhood memories in the 5^th installment of CDO Toy Show 2019, held today at the Limketkai mall, Rotunda. Get a chance to see life-size action figures of your favorite anime/manga characters in this annual event.

CDO Toy Show is a two-day event (mall hours) that gathers all toy, cosplay, and gaming enthusiast, aficionados and collectors under one roof. The said event is the brainchild of Kristoffer Jan R. Liao, in partnership with The Phantom Dibs, Scribtoons, Affinity games, Transformers CDO, Die cast community, Marvel CDO, Square Enix Philippines, CDO Kintaku and CDO Toyzone members.

“CDO TOY SHOW started in 2015 and it is the very first toy convention in Northern Mindanao. Thousands of figures/toys from all over the world are showcased during the event. It aims to unite all hobbyists with the same passion, not just only in the city but throughout Mindanao,” Liao shared.

The said activity will feature Cosplay competition, Magic the Gathering tournament hosted by Affinity Games, and would also serve as the grand launching of Scribtoons, and online-based website that creates comics. It will also feature interactive games and raffle contests for its followers and a free comic book-reading area hosted by team Marvel CDO.

CDO Toy Show is inspired by ToyCon the biggest toy convention in the country. He wanted to bring ToyCon to CDO as he explained visiting the convention is expensive especially for hobbyists outside Manila due to airfare and accommodations. So he and co-organizer, Rick Tidoy and their group CDO Toyzone, decided to create a toy convention here in Cagayan de Oro for fellow hobbyists.

“This year marks our 5^th year anniversary so we have a lot of surprises for everyone. All I can say is expect a bigger and better CDO TOY SHOW.
