Capt. Rogie Ortencio of the Divisoria police identified the man as 77-year-old Victor “Boboy” Gabor of 154 Capistrano Street.

Police said Gabor, who was unmarried, was found dead inside Room 81 of D’ Morvie Suites on Yacapin-Velez streets.

Investigators said Gabor checked in at around 1 pm, and his death was discovered about 12 hours later when a room boy checked his room. The room boy, wanting to remind Gabor about the check-out time, knocked but there was no answer, prompting him to check inside.

Police said Gabor was only wearing shorts when the room boy found him on the bed, with his mouth foaming.

The inn’s staff rushed Gabor to the hospital where he was declared pronounced dead on arrival.

Ortencio said Gabor’s relatives no longer subject the man’s body to an autopsy after a physician confirmed that he died of cardiac arrest.
