CAGAYAN de Oro’s health office yesterday noted a slight decrease in the number of “persons under monitoring” in the campaign to prevent the 2019 novel coronavirus disease from further spreading.

City health officer Lorraine Nery said the number of PUMs in the city dropped from 1,083 to 1,076.

“Naay downward trend sa PUMs sa syudad,” Nery said.

However, the number of PUMs still undergoing quarantine has gone up slightly from 578 to 633 individuals. The number of PUMs who have completed their mandatory 14-day quarantine rose from 373 to 445.

The top five barangays in the city with the most number of PUMs are Bugo with 82 individuals, followed by Carmen (79), Gusa (67), Macasandig (63), and Camaman-an (57).

Nery said they are closely monitoring the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (Bherts) of the city’s 80 barangays if these needed augmentations. (Cong B. Corrales)
