THE City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin Uy held a special session yesterday, to discuss updates on the novel coronavirus disease in the city.
The legislative body invited the members of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases-Cagayan de Oro and the regional directors of the Department of Social Welfare and Development-10 and the Department of Labor and Employment-10 to shed light and answer queries in aid of legislation relative to the pandemic.
This, after Councilor Edgar Cabanlas and other councilors aired concerns regarding the needed test kits and laboratory, implementation of social distancing protocol and the distribution of Special Amelioration Program, among others. (sp)
