On August 19, the City Government of Ozamiz turned over the remaining ICT packages along with other essential tools and equipment to 19 elementary and secondary schools of Ozamiz City Division at Ozamiz City National High School.

“LGU Ozamiz is here willing to spend, and willing to provide whatever the needs of the schools, teachers, and students. This is just one way of showing how our Mayor appreciates our effort,” said Councilor Cecile Co as she represented Ozamiz City Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal.

“With these resources and the Asenso Ozamiz administration,we can’t say that COVID is the game changer but it is us, DepEd and LGU,” said Ozamiz City Schools Division Superintendent Jean Veloso.

“We can conquer this, we can go through this and we will triumph at the end,” according to Veloso.

Veloso said they will continue on raising the banner of their mandate of providing basic education to learners despite all the challenges that they are facing.

“We are backed up with our strongest partner, the LGU of Ozamiz City,” she said.

Veloso shared that the city will provide multi copier machines, 6,000 radios with solar power and USB drive. There is also an allocation of P1.2 million for bond paper, and allocation of 3 branded vans in the delivery of blended distance learning.

“Let’s not stop dreaming, let’s not stop aiming for our learners, let’s not stop dreaming for DepEd Ozamiz city and let’s not stop dreaming for Ozamiz City because we cannot stop dreaming for the future and the future are actually our learners.
So we cannot stop educating them and we play a very vital role to ensure that our future will continue moving by educating our learners.”

Ozamiz City Central School Principal Ramil Cabural thanked Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal for the ICT equipment to be used for their self-learning modules production.

The packages contain multi-copier or photocopier machines, printers, laptops, television sets, cameras, sound systems, among others.

Aside from the turned over ceremony of ICT equipment, the City of Ozamiz also awarded the winners of the Northern
