“Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar” to air on VivaMax

 “Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar” (When I Grow Up, I Want to be a Pornstar)  brings together Alma Moreno, Ara Mina, Maui Taylor, and Rosanna Roces, muti-generational icons of bold  films in one hilariously, sexy film .  It also features three young bombshells:  AJ Raval, Rose Van Ginkel, and Ana Jalandoni, who will sizzle on screen for the first time.

“Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar” begins with a man’s dying wish that Philippine sex cinema will rise again just like in its glory days.  The man happens to be the founder of “bomba films”, and Ara Mina, who is like a daughter to him, promises to fulfil his wish.

Ara, Alma, Osang, and Maui, who are referred to in the movie as the “Four Relevant Women of Philippine Sex Cinema” band together to teach beautiful young girls, Sofia (Rose Van Ginkel), Agatha (Ana Jalandoni), and Twinkle (AJ Raval), the art of seduction and being sexy to mold  them into hot, desirable women that men will follow not only in cinemas but in every online platform and the privacy of their bedrooms.   

Pornstar is written and directed by Darryl Yap (Jowable, Sakristan). Itbares not just flesh, not just the pornstar’s persona, but brings to light some  insights on why pornography is patronized and who are those who crave for them.

48 hours after the official trailer was released, it has already garnered 6 million views across all social media platforms.  Some of the comments on Viva Films YouTube page read:  ^*“Kahit medyo sensitive ang tema, napakagaling pa rin ng 4 na ‘to. Walang kupas ang ganda nila,” referring to Alma, Ara, Osang, and Maui.  The support for director Darryl Yap is also evident.   “With this dying film industry, it takes guts to make a movie this liberated and open minded. This is a reunion movie of Ara Mina and Maui Taylor after starring together  in “Ang Huling Birhen sa Lupa” (2003) 17 years ago.  This is also Ara’s second time to work with Rosanna Roces, following the film “Curacha Ang Babaeng Walang Pahinga” (1998).  This is her first time to work with Alma Moreno, also known as Loveliness and Tangga Queen. 

AJ Raval, daughter of ‘90s action star Jeric Raval, is ready for the limelight as she takes on the role of a promising porn star.  Rose Van Ginkel (Talk Back and You’re Dead), also a recording artist under Viva Records, and Ana Jalandoni, known for being one of the Sexy Angels on “Ang Probinsyano”, and a content creator on Oomph TV, are great contenders to being the movie’s next Philippine Pornstar.
