THE ‘People’s Day’ program, led by Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy experienced a big increase in the number of people attending.

“On Wednesdays, they now serve almost 500 clients on average,” said City Mayor’s Office Chief of Staff Shiela Lumbatan adding that this shows more and more people are getting help from the program.

Klarex and their team should be praised for their commitment to supporting the community, according to Lumbatan.

“Mayor ‘Klarex’ Uy is making strides with his administration’s ‘People’s Day’ program, which now sees an average of nearly 500 clients every Wednesday,” she reiterated.

Lumbatan said the program is a significant part of Mayor Klarex’s RISE agenda, which aims to provide support and services to the less privileged, particularly those living in hinter barangays.

The RISE, or Regional Leadership, Accessibility and Connectivity, Inclusivity and Participatory Governance, Safety, Security and Human Development, and Economic Recovery, would be beneficial.

In his (Uy) earlier statement expressed that the challenge persists for them to address the needs of the people and further decrease poverty in the city.

During the flag-raising program on Monday, the Mayor emphasized his expectations for all City Hall department managers and their personnel.

“Much is expected and required of every City Hall department manager and their personnel to serve the public to the best of their capabilities,” he stated.

This sentiment underlines his commitment to ensuring that all residents receive the help and support that they need, according to Lumbatan.

The success of ‘People’sDay’ highlights the potential of local government units to reach out to and assist the less privileged.

Lumbatan added that the program provides a platform for residents to voice their concerns and receive necessary aid, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.

“Mayor Klarex’s RISE agenda even underscores his commitment to uplifting the lives of the city’s less fortunate residents,” Lumbatan said.

Through this initiative, Mayor Klarex hopes to bridge the gap between the city’s services and the residents who need them the most, particularly in hinter barangays, she stressed.

She said the success of the ‘People’s Day’ program is a testament to Mayor Klarex’s dedication to serving his constituents.

With the ongoing commitment from City Hall departments and their personnel, the residents of Cagayan de Oro City can look forward to more inclusive and sustainable services in the future, Lumbatan ended.
