Buscaino and Porcia, considered as future cream of the crop of the BMDA Karatedo Association run by sensei Michael Pabillore, both competed in the 5-year-old below-age bracket with resounding success.

Buscaino, who hails from Malaybalay City, won gold in the kata and kumite boys division and even snatched a bronze medal when he accelerated in the 6-7-year-old kumite.

Meanwhile, Porcia of Tagum City ruled the distaff side of the same age group in both kumite and kata categories to duplicate Buscaino’s feat.

Also giving gold medals for BMDA were Lyzabel Czafiya Pena Alupani (6-7 years old kumite girls) and Gladhiemer Campos (4-15 years old boys kumite).

Clement Carreon likewise chipped in silver in the 10-11 years old kata, while Mary Geraldine Galang (seniors women kumite), Istha Seira Tulibas Maputi (14 years old kata girls), Gian Vicente (12-13 boys), and Zya Madronero (10 – 11 years old girls kata) all settled for bronze medals.

The 39-year-old Pabillore, the founder of BMDA, also acknowledged the strong performances of his other students Khurt Delgado, Prian Carreon, Shanessa Asturias, Kaylani Vergara, Juan Lelis, Austen Feliciano and Cayden Feliciano in the prestigious age-group karatedo tourney.
