ONLY introduced this year, the dart competition produced the Provincial Capitol team as its inaugural champion in the recently-held Paglaum Sportsfest as the main highlight of the 94th Founding Anniversary of Misamis Oriental.

Held at the weight gym of the Don Gregorio Pelaez Sports Center, the Capitol darters topped Bracket A for the combined four-man team, doubles and singles rivalries then eagerly awaited the Bracket B winner between Initao and guest Cagayan de Oro for the showdown.

For a while, they grew nervous when the tough Cagayan de Oro team held its ground against the equally strong Initao.

But survive they did as the Capitol pin shooters of Julius Acobo, Michael Halina, Chris Pioquinto, Lito Maghacot, Edmund Mabalacad, and Jonathan Llagas went on to claim the championship trophy and the P20,000 top purse.
