The excitement kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony for the thrilling project, worth a whopping P50 million, at the Municipal Plaza on February 9.

Mayor Rico Taray couldn’t contain his gratitude, expressing, “This has been a long-standing dream of the people of Talisayan, and now it’s finally coming true.”

Stretching over two kilometers, this zip line promises to be a heart-racing experience from start to finish. Departure will be from the breathtaking Sipaka Heights, offering riders unparalleled views of the scenic landscape.

Mayor Taray revealed that the project comes with a hefty price tag of P50 million, underscoring the town’s commitment to tourism and adventure.

Vice Mayor Rommel Maslog chimed in, highlighting the economic boost this zip line will bring to Talisayan, foreseeing a future where tourists flock to the town for the ultimate thrill ride.

The groundbreaking ceremony was a star-studded affair, attended by Governor Peter M. Unabia, Mayor Taray, Vice Mayor Maslog, Atty. Jeffrey Saclot (Provincial Tourism Officer), and Barangay Poblacion Chairwoman Ma. Liezl Orculio.

Governor Unabia made it official, announcing that construction will commence on April 27, with a projected completion target of 348 days.

But here’s the real kicker: Mayor Taray proudly declared that the Sipaka Zip Line will not only be the highest in the Philippines but quite possibly the entire continent of Asia! Get ready to soar to new heights in Talisayan — this is one adventure you won’t want to miss.
