The DOTr is asking private firms to bid for a chance to upgrade and modernize LIA.

This project is vital in the government’s plan to improve the country’s infrastructure.

The goal is to make LIA a modern, sustainable, and globally connected airport.

Through a competitive process, companies will be chosen to invest in, design, build, run, and maintain the airport for 30 years.

This partnership highlights the government’s commitment to progress and its trust in private sector expertise.

The DOTr shared that the airport’s development will involve creating plans for new airlines and routes, especially international flights.

They will also expand the airport’s size based on passenger needs and introduce sustainability and connectivity ideas to boost its environmental and operational efficiency.

The project aims to enhance the overall passenger experience and introduce new commercial services within the expanded terminal and landside areas.

This move recognizes the airport as more than just a place for flights; it should also be comfortable and convenient for travelers.

By opening up the bidding process, the DOTr is offering a chance to be part of a significant transformation in Philippine aviation.

This project will require innovative solutions and strong partnerships between the government and private companies to succeed.

This initiative isn’t just about making an investment; it’s about leaving a lasting impact on the region’s connectivity, economy, and environmental sustainability.

The transformation of LIA into a top-tier airport will set a new standard for aviation development in the Philippines and beyond.

The 30-year concession for Laguindingan Airport presents an opportunity for companies to shape the future of aviation in the Philippines.

By participating in this project, companies can contribute to building a modern, sustainable, and globally connected airport that will benefit passengers and the environment alike.
