Puregold has partnered with Globe Telecom’s G-Cash for the new service.

Through Pure Padala, an OFW can send remittance through G-Cash and choose it as payment for grocery purchases in all Puregold stores nationwide.

Co said this new service, which is the first in the local market, will assure OFWs that their remittances are spent wisely by recipients particularly in purchasing their basic needs.

The sender, through Pure Padala, can also note restrictions for sending remittances. For example, the amount cannot be used for purchasing liquor or alcoholic beverages and cigarettes.

Co mentioned that the 239 Puregold stores nationwide will rollout Pure Padala service on Sunday, July 12.

Puregold team will also launch Pure Padala in top three sources of remittances including Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan then soon in Saudi Arabia and the United States.

He added that remittance charge for the Pure Padala service will be much lower than the lowest money transfer rates. pna
