CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — If the family of abducted coast guard Rod AlianPagaling could have their way, they would want government to suspend its “no ransom policy.”

In an interview, Paga-ling’s sister Joy said that the longer his brother stays in captivity the slimmer the chances for him to come out of it alive.

Abu Sayyaf bandits abducted Pagaling, along with two other coast guards: Gringo Villaruz of Baluarte, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental and Robert Bulagao of Aliguay Island on (date).

The Abu Sayyaf bandits have place the ransom of Pagaling and Villaruz at P6 million while Bulagao’s ransom was set at P4 million.

Meanwhile, Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno said that there is no country across the globe that negotiates with terrorist, much less paying ransom.
