EL SALVADOR CITY, Misamis Oriental — Public elementary pupils here will soon have a new school building courtesy of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor).

Pagcor Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Cristino Naguiat Jr. led the ground breaking and capsule laying ceremonies of a new four-storey school building at El Salvador City Elementary School on Thursday.

The new 20-classroom school buillding is made possible through the initiative of Misamis Oriental 2nd District Rep. Juliette Uy worth P43 million funded by Pagcor. The school building will be built by the Department of Public Works and Highways.

Together with Naguiat were daughter of Villanueva Mayor Julio Uy—Jennie Rosalie Uy—and representatives from the Department of Education, Department of Public Works and Highways and the city government here.

Naguiat said that the new school building is just one of many they are planning to build across the country which they allocated a P2 billion budget.
