Some P150 thousand in aid was released to Poblacion 2, Villanueva, Monday this week.
Governor Bambi Emano turned over the check to Barangay Chairman Ferdinand Agravante together with his barangay kagawads., in the presence of othe officials of the provincial government.
“Dako kaayo among pasalamat kang Gov. Bambi kay iya ming gihatagan ani nga ayuda. Dako kaayo ni nga tabang sa amuang barangay,” said Agravante.
The annual budget of barangay Poblacion 2 has not been approved by the national government forcing the said barangay to tap other sources for its survival.
The Villanueva municipal mayor has been helpless to respond to this critical problem of the barangay.
“Pasalamat gyud mi ni Gob. Emano kay wala niya tan-awa ang politika sa among mga punuan sa lungsod; kanunay siya ga tubag sa among mga kalisud,” Bar. Chair. Agravante added.
The sincerity of the Governor to serve the people of the province is shown in this particular instant: though belonging to different political parties, Gov. Bambi Emano did not hesitate to give aid to Poblacion 2, Villanueva known to be under the influence of Mayor Julio Uy. (advt)
