“TOTALLY misplaced, absolutely wrong, and an attempt to misrepresent.”

This was how Mayor Oscar Moreno described Vice Mayor Caesar Ian Acenas’s move to ask the Court of Appeals (CA)  to allow him to state his position before the appellate court rules on the local chief executive’s petition for a writ of preliminary injunction.

Moreno told a news conference that he doubts if the CA would grant Acenas’s motion, and that the motion would likely end up “all the way to the basket.”

He also said Acenas’s motion showed that ex-mayor Vicente Emano and the Padayon Pilipino were behind his accuser William Guialani.

The Office of the Ombudsman slapped Moreno with a dismissal order in connection with Guialani’s complaint on the tax settlement between city hall and Ajinomoto Philippines.

“Wala man sila molampos sa ilang petition for recount sa mga balota niadtong  2013, wala  pod sila molampos sa ilang recall election  batok kanako, so ang ilang chance to pin me down ang pagpasaka sa kaso,” he said.

Moreno also called the Padayon Pilipino-backed demonstration at the CA here as “totally out of line, illegal, contemptuous, and not only uncalled for but  totally wrong.” (nitz arancon)
