PADAYON Pilipino-backed demonstrators outside the Court of Appeals-Mindanao station slowly moved out on Tuesday afternoon, and were completely gone yesterday.

The demonstration fizzled out despite earlier threats of continued demonstrations at the CA after the 22nd Division of the appellate court granted Mayor Oscar Moreno a writ of preliminary injunction against the implementation of a dismissal order issued by the ombudsman.

Councilor Alexander Dacer, Padayon Pilipino spokesman, said his group decided to put an end to the demonstration at around 5 pm on Tuesday.

But Dacer said the demonstrators would return.

“Nasabutan sa mga demonstrator nga mopahulay sa sila pero  mobalik ra sila sa pagally.”  matud ni Dacer.

Former mayor Vicente Emano, the leader of the Padayon Pilipino, told Magnum Radio that his group has decided to wait for the Office of the Ombudsman to decide on the motion for reconsideration filed by Moreno last year.

Moreno has protested the dismissal order for grave misconduct, arguing that the ombudsman missed out his counter-affidavit in making its decision.

Emano said his group would also wait for the Supreme Court  (SC) to rule on the petition for a temporary restraining order filed by Guialani against the CA’s resolution in favor of Moreno.

“Ang hukom sa CA pabor man ni Moreno, so wala tay mahimo undang sa ang rally,” Emano said.
