THE Cogon police arrested three suspected motorcycle thieves and then seized from them suspected illegal drugs in Barangay 31 here the other day.

Chief Insp. Alfredo Ortiz, chief of Police Station 2, identified the suspects as Joel Faro, 32, of Barangay 36;  Alexander Co, 35, and Neil Bolanio, 28, both of Adela Subdivision in Barangay Camaman-an.

Ortiz said the suspects were arrested during an operation carried out by his men at around 6:05 am on Tuesday while the three were riding a stolen Rusi motorcycle with license plate KA-3619. He said the motorcycle turned out to be a property of Flor Ranoa of Barangay Gusa.

He said the suspects earlier offered to trade the motorcycle with illegal drugs. Shortly after, police pounced on and arrested the suspects.

Ortiz said officer also seized from the suspect three sachets of suspected shabu.

He said the suspects have been detained at the Cogon police where they would be locked up during the remaining days of Holy Week until they can be formally charged next week.
