Lawyer Josefa Sorera-Ty, chair of the Fr. Saturnino Urios University Policy Center, said the survey was conducted from March 28 to April 3 in 86 barangays. There were 1,952 respondents representing one percent of the total registered voters of the city who were interviewed face to face.

Asked if they will accept money from candidates or not, 77.55 percent of the 1,952 respondents said “yes,” and only 11.02 percent said “no.”

But when they were asked if they will vote for the candidates who gave them money, 39.03 percent said “yes,” 31.57 percent said “no,” and 29.40 percent were undecided.

Ty said the purpose of the survey was not for government or for political use but for the academic purposes. The outcome would help Urios develop a new curriculum for political, arts, science and law students of FSUU.
