Chief Insp. Ariel Philip Pontillas, Agora police chief, said two suspects were arrested at a slum in Sitio San Juan 2 in Lapasan while a third suspect was caught at the Limketkai Center.

Pontillas said a call for assistance resulted in the arrest of suspects Homer and Benjamin Manabtab in San Juan 2.

He said police seized 21 sachets of suspected shabu  and drug paraphernalia from the Manabtab brothers.

Pontillas said police also seized a caliber .45 caliber pistol from one of the suspects.

During investigation, police was informed that a drug delivery would take place at the Limketkai area.

Immediately, Pontillas said, police coordinated with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and jointly, they conducted an operationat Limketkai.

Pontillas said a policewoman was fielded and posed as a buyer, resulting in the arrest of Anisa Dumpi Lomocso of Marawi City.

Police said they seized 25 grams of suspected shabu worth some P90 thousand from Lomocso.

“Wala silay relasyon sa Manabtab brothers. Si Lomocso only served as the courier. Marawi ang ilang source of drugs,” he said.

Pontillas said the arrest of the Manabtab brothers would significantly weaken the illegal drug trade in Barangay Lapasan.
