THREE Misamis Oriental mayors have left the Liberal Party (LP) and joined the National Unity Party (NUP).

The mayors–Leonardo Uy of Libertad, Emmanuel Mugot of Gitagum, and Gregorio Jonathan Po of Jasaan–took their oath as NUP members before Rep. Juliette Uy of the province’s 2nd District at the public gym of Villanueva on Thursday in time for the town’s  “Kadlawanan” celebration.

Aside from the mayors, members of the town councils of Libertad, Gitagum, and Jasa-an also took their oath as NUP members.

The new NUP members include Liberated Vice Mayor Miguel Juario, Gitagum councilors Generoso Lusdoc, Danilo Quilab, Ceasar Banuag, Nicole Velasco, Rodrigo  Mugot Jr., and Jimielo Fabricanbte;

Jasaan councilors Rebecca Edos, Fernando Reyes, Vensun Edades, and Andress Ompoc.
